In 2018 following two very successful shows Nichol had a third solo show at the Grouse and Claret. The catalogue has an article by Susan Bain about Nichol’s work on the biggest film ever filmed in Scotland, Outlaw King. There are several reproductions of some of the concept drawings that Nichol did for the film. There is also and article and images about some of the work for the huge commission of the Tam o’Shanter murals for Òran Mór.
